The Founder Chancellor, SRM University, Chennai, Dr. T.R.
Parivendhar met the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi personally and handed
over a demand draft for Rs. 1 Crore towards the Prime Minister's National
Relief Fund.Dr. N. Sethuraman,
Registrar, SRM University, Mr. Ravi Pachamoothoo, Chairman, SRM Group and Prof.
P. Satyanarayanan, President, SRM University were also present during the
occasion. The Prime Minister National Relief Fund is utilized
primarily to render immediate relief to families of those killed in natural
calamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and to the victims of
the major accidents and riots. This kind gesture of the management of SRM is
much appreciated.
